Where Things Move
Why things move where they do.
Why is a port where it is? Why did a city grow there? Why do ships take the routes they do? Starting from questions about places, Where Things Move explores how goods and people move — and why.
Each video takes one question and looks at what official statistics and other primary sources can (and can't) explain. Sources are listed in each video's description. If we get something wrong, we correct it.
