Privacy Policy
Where Things Move — WTM Uploader. Effective date: October 24, 2026.
This policy explains how WTM Uploader, a private tool operated by Where Things Move (wherethingsmove.com), accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data. WTM Uploader is used only by the operator of the Where Things Move YouTube channel, on the operator's own computer, to manage that channel's own videos. It is not offered to the public.
1. What the tool does
WTM Uploader uploads finished videos to the Where Things Move YouTube channel with the privacy status set to private, and sets each video's title, description, tags, category, "not made for kids" setting, altered or synthetic content disclosure, thumbnail and captions. It cannot make a video unlisted or public; that is done by hand in YouTube Studio.
2. Google user data accessed
- OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens for the operator's own Google account, with the scopes
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.uploadandhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl. - Basic information about the operator's own YouTube channel returned by the YouTube Data API (such as the channel ID and title), used only to confirm that uploads go to the correct channel.
- The IDs of videos, thumbnails and caption tracks that the tool itself creates, returned by the YouTube Data API.
The tool does not access any other person's account, channel, videos, comments, viewers or analytics.
3. How the data is used
The data is used only to upload the operator's own content to the operator's own channel and to record which uploads have finished, so an interrupted upload can resume without creating duplicates. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose. Google user data is not used to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
4. Storage and security
Tokens and upload records are stored only on the operator's own computer, in files readable only by the operator's user account. They are not stored on any server operated by Where Things Move, and they are not committed to any code repository.
5. Sharing
Google user data is not sold, rented or shared with any third party. Data is sent only to Google (the YouTube Data API) as required to perform the uploads.
6. Retention and deletion
Tokens are kept only while the tool is in use and are deleted when no longer needed. The operator can revoke the tool's access at any time from the Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions), which immediately stops all access.
7. Google and YouTube policies
WTM Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See also the Google Privacy Policy. WTM Uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. This website
wherethingsmove.com is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not collect personal information from visitors. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
9. Changes and contact

WTM Uploader は、YouTube チャンネル Where Things Move の運営者だけが、自分のパソコンで、自分のチャンネルの動画を扱うために使う道具です。一般には提供していません。
使うデータ
運営者自身の Google アカウントの OAuth のトークン(権限は youtube.upload と youtube.force-ssl)、正しいチャンネルに上げているかを確かめるためのチャンネルの ID と名前、この道具が作った動画・サムネイル・字幕の ID だけです。他人のアカウント・動画・コメント・視聴者・分析のデータには触れません。
使い道
運営者自身の動画を、運営者自身のチャンネルへ「非公開」で上げ、タイトルなどを設定するためだけに使います。広告・分析・AI や機械学習の学習には使いません。
保存・共有・削除
トークンと記録は運営者のパソコンの中だけに、運営者だけが読める形で保存します。第三者に売ったり渡したりしません。送る先は Google(YouTube Data API)だけです。不要になれば削除し、Google アカウントの「アカウントへのアクセス権」(myaccount.google.com/permissions)からいつでも取り消せます。
